Firehouse Santa Toy Drive
Firehouse Santa started on October 1, 2009 as a community service project to help under privileged children.  The project is affiliated with the Cedar Grove Volunteer Fire Department, Inc.  Firehouse Santa serves the area in which students attend the Cedar Grove Community School and WIC of West Virginia/Upper Kanawha Valley Medical Center.  In the first year of operation, Firehouse Santa served 30 school children with each child receiving gift(s).  The project has now expanded to serve over 300 school children with each child receiving gift(s).
Firefighter/Engineer Larry Coleman coordinates a staff of approximately 10 community volunteers in addition to members of the fire department who assist with the project.  Volunteers begin working doing fundraisers early in the year.  Fundraisers include pool parties, boot drives, car shows, fill the truck up at Walmart, etc.  The project also receives some corporate donations.
Unfortunately without assistance from the public, this project would not be possible.  Please help these children have a great Christmas and make a donation today.   No donation is too small.
Thank you and may God bless each of you!  Merry Christmas!
